Perfect Peace

My Muse for this painting,” Perfect Peace,” was my backyard garden. Over the course of twenty years, I have endeavored to create a sustainable, eco-responsive garden, and roses have worked well in our challenging NM climate. One of our more dramatic and lasting plants has been our Peace rose. It is prolific and blooms several times throughout the summer months. Its large, yellow-pink edged blooms are not only a joy to behold, but enhance the aesthetic of the garden area. I look forward to its blooms every year.
