The Frame Shop at Weems Gallery is a custom picture frame shop using only the best archival and conservational supplies. Through many vendors, we offer a large variety of frames. In addition to art framing, we offer specialty services such as hand-sewn mounting of textiles, mirrors, shadowbox creations, and more. We pride ourselves on quality work at reasonable prices. Each piece gets the same attention to detail regardless of the value of the piece. Your art is precious to us.
The shop is managed by Chris Salazar who grew up working in his dad’s frame shop 25+ years ago. Chris is a master at designing the perfect frame and mat to enhance the beauty of any piece. In addition to stretching canvases for our artists, Chris has been the go-to person for many shadow box memorabilia creations.
Allison Bingham is our new Restoration apprentice. Allison received her Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of New Mexico. Allison has many years of experience in Conservation working for a Museum quality master conservationist.
Lindsey Doolittle is a custom framer with a Bachelor's degree in Art. Lindsey is also an artist herself. She is a welcome addition to the team and has a keen eye for composition and design.
On Saturdays, you will also run into Jennifer Eggleston. During the week, she works as a conservationist at the University of New Mexico. Jen E. has a degree from UNM in fine art as well. She also grew up working in her parent’s frame shop and has extensive experience.

Art Restoration & Repair
Ari Von Huene
Ari Von Huene has been with Weems Gallery for 26 years and has been performing restorations for decades. During this time she has developed an excellent reputation in our community.
She is experienced in repairing damage from fire, water, smoke, dirt, tears, scratches, fading, cracking, and breakage.
Ari spends a large amount of time working on fire and water claims from numerous insurance and home restoration companies.
Each Thursday Ari or Allison are available to meet with customers to assess their restoration needs. Drop-offs are accepted during regular business hours throughout the week.
