Navajo Lands

This is a pastel painting of a desert scene in Northern Arizona on the Navajo Reservation. It was a beautiful brisk morning looking out over these sacred lands. Soft pastel on UART paper.   

This painting is a part of our 45th Anniversary Show. 

John is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of New Mexico and served as its former vice-president. His work, which captures the intense light and shadow of Western landscapes, has been featured in prestigious juried exhibitions such as Masterworks of New Mexico and the International Pastel Painting Exhibition at the Millicent Rogers Museum.
