“Roadrunners at the Birdbath” is a metal collage which is constructed from brass, copper, nickel, and foil. It is a representation of two Roadrunners visiting a neighborhood garden with a birdbath. Looks like Mom is showing her juvenile a source of drinking water. Yards without cats and dogs are a resource for these birds.
Mom is a pierced (hand-cut) brass overlay on nickel. The juvenile is pierced (hand-cut) copper overlay on nickel. They are perched on the rim of a copper birdbath. There is a nickel boulder in the forefront. The garden flowers and bushes are embossed in silver-tone foil. The background is copper with engraved rays of sunshine. The elements have a variety of piercing, stamp work, and oxidation methods for details. 4” X 6” Metal in a 5” X 7” Custom Maple Shadowbox Frame
