Diner Dreams

Resin coated paper, in lightbox (requires adjacency to and electrical outlet).

Darren says of his photography process: "Viewing through various lenses including outdoor stewardship, historical interpretation, healthcare, and architectural design has honed my vision and deeply influenced the development of craft.  We’re drawn to the images’ ability to explore cycles of birth, maturation, decay, and death. Many images in my recent body of work serve as meditation on the transient nature of existence, inviting viewers to confront the beauty of deterioration; emphasizing texture, color, and form to explore remnants of what once was."

This piece is part of our Tar, Time and Travel exhibit, meditations on the mother road.
