DiCappo says of this work, "This historic adobe chapel (La Capillita de La Sagrada Familia) is situated on land belonging to San Ildefonso Pueblo. The area is considered sacred by the Tewa. I did this painting from sketches and photos as the site is not easily accessible to non-residents. To me this beautiful landscape is iconic Northern New Mexico."
