Transience

This is a painting of a snowy sunrise in Monument Valley. The title refers to the transition from dawn to day and winter to spring, but primarily to the jet contrail. It is the true transient in this scene - those formations have existed nearly unchanged for thousands of years, and will continue to exist long after humanity has passed through, a mere blip in geologic time.
