Deeply inspired by how environments and compositions can "exhibit their own language of energy, light and color", to use Estes' own words, her paintings create rhythm and vibration with hue, texture, and repetition. Estes applies the medium (acrylic) such that each stroke is individually considered, but harmonizes beautifully with the surrounding strokes in the foreground and background.
