Uhl, Paul

Paul has been a full time working clay artist now for over 45 years.  His early years were spent as a functional potter and over time moved towards the  more decorative, sculptural  
works he currently creates.   Paul see's his work as" Modern Southwest/Oriental with a touch of the uknown".  Or a lost potter trying to find his way.
Paul studied at Luther College in Decorah Iowa, worked under a number of master potters and finished his clay education at UT Austin with a BFA.
Paul currently spends his time between his home studio in Smithville TX and Angel Fire NM. where he spends as much time hiking, biking, skiing,camping.  All things to help keep life 
interesting and full.
