Collection: Susan Klebanoff

A renowned American fiber artist, Susan specializes in large-scale,  multi-layered tapestries that blend traditional weaving with modern sculptural elements. Since establishing her studio in 1977 after graduating from Carnegie Mellon University, she has developed a signature "visual jazz" style, characterized by hand-dyed yarns and painted threads woven into multidimensional panels that play with light, shadow, motion and viewer perception.

Her work is featured in prestigious permanent collections including the Smithsonian Institution and the Museum of Modern Art in Nagoya, Japan, and she has completed major commissions for international entities like IBM, USA Today, and various U.S. Embassies. Susan won Woman of the Year for “National Museum of Women in the Arts” in 2013.

Based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Klebanoff continues to collaborate with architects and designers to transform public and private spaces with her kinetic, nature-inspired textile art.
