Collection: Rizkalla, Kristeen

Driven by a lifelong fascination with spatial visualization, Kristeen Rizkalla began seeing the world through a lens of potential at a young age. A largely self-taught artist, she explored diverse mediums—including watercolor, fused glass, and woodworking—before discovering the "freeform feel" of clay. Her professional career was launched over 20 years ago when she began exhibiting at Weems Gallery, a milestone that transformed her private creative passion into a celebrated public practice known as New Mexico Earth.

Rizkalla’s sculptures have since gained significant recognition, including a commissioned rendition of the iconic two-faced clock on the UNM Main Campus. Her work has been featured on the cover of the Albuquerque Bar Bulletin and highlighted in Albuquerque Magazine. Today, she remains dedicated to the "life" of art, creating unique ceramic pieces that reflect her enduring interest in color, form, and the transformation of the ordinary into the extraordinary.
