At the age of five, Lisa fell in love with New Mexico on a family camping trip and proclaimed to all that she was moving there as soon as possible.  Eventually she managed to move there by accepting a job as an engineer in Albuquerque. Fascinated by the beautiful silver work in New Mexico, she started making jewelry in her spare time between her career and raising two children.  But intrigued by the colors and glass-like behavior of polymer clay, she made the switch to polymer clay over 30 years ago. Since then, she has been creating whimsical jewelry, specializing in capturing the personalities of dogs, cats, and other pets. She often embellishes her jewelry with sterling silver, high quality gold-filled or treated copper wires, and adds beads and charms for movement and three-dimensionality.  When not having fun in her studio, Lisa is volunteering at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, studying competitive ballroom dancing, or enjoying the outdoors in the mountains.
