Collection: Kani (Connie Michael)

Connie Michael, aka Kani, grew up on the shore of Lake Michigan and has “made stuff” since childhood. Her background includes sand sculptures, beach combing, quilting, hand-painting clothing, jewelry, and for the last 15 years, mixed media, which incorporates all the previous
art explorations. She currently makes jewelry out of paper, paint and beads, and has added wooden clocks and wooden art panels to her creations.
She grew up in a household of classical and jazz music and two grand pianos in the living room.  A degree in music education then grew into playing piano for traditional dances (Contra, English, Scottish and International) and Jazz.
When not playing the piano, she creates artwork that is in private collections, galleries and shops in several states as well as abroad.
