Collection: Elgin, Ross

Form, surface and an overall quality of utility are factors I strive for in my work.  Color and design are important aspects of my pieces and give a fresh feeling of vitality to any environment where my pottery resides.  I aim for strong, clean lines and incorporate form and function with abstract surface treatment, uniting the pottery form with a contemporary canvas.
Ross Elgin studied at California College of Arts & Crafts and graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Ceramic Arts in 1973.  Ross lives in Montrose Colorado, where he produces pottery and custom ceramic basins.
