Bleys Lee is carrying on the art legacy developed by renowned sculptor Frank Andrews, who passed away in 2025 at the age of 85 and after more than 40 years creating classic copper petroglyph sculptures.

Bleys was born and raised in Santa Fe, N.M., and although he was drawn to art at an early age, it wasn’t until 2016 that he discovered his love for the medium of metal. It was at this point that he started an apprenticeship with Frank Andrews, spending nine years learning Frank’s signature copper welding techniques.

Today, Bleys continues to create the iconic copper petroglyph sculptures based on ancient rock carvings often found in the Southwest, including such spiritual figures and images as the dancing kokopelli, shaman, spirit hand, big horn sheep, sun spiral and more. He also designs and fabricates ornamental entryway gates, handrails and custom art pieces. He works in a variety of mediums and materials but focuses on iron, copper, bronze and brass.
