Ed Wyatt

Ed Wyatt creates stylized abstract landscapes – most notably referencing cliffside dwellings and mesas of the Southwest – that play with color, shape and form. His artwork is characterized by bold hues and textures that convey depth and emotion.

Drawing inspiration from natural environments, Ed transforms them into vibrant, dreamlike interpretations. With a keen eye for balance and contrast, his paintings evoke a sense of movement and tranquility. Each piece invites viewers to explore the unseen world within and beyond the canvas. Ed's portfolio reflects a dedication to blending imagination with the visceral beauty of nature. His distinctive style continues to captivate audiences looking for art that resonates on a deeper level.

After successful careers as a photojournalist, television art director and graphic designer, Ed’s desire to capture the drama of color and fundamentals of line and perspective led him to painting. “My paintings usually start with a composition idea and evolve into a primary subject in which color is the defining force,” he explains. “My goals are serenity and simplicity executed with color and perspective.”
